A video of an explosion at a building and people running helter-skelter to take shelter went viral on social media, claiming it to be from Pakistan recently.

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The video is from Gaza. Here’s the fact check.

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to the YouTube channel TRT World, where the viral video was uploaded on 23 March 2025. The description of the video read, “Footage shows moment of explosion as Israeli air strike hits displaced camp in Gaza on Sunday, March 23.”
We found the same video on the YouTube channel NBC News, uploaded on 24 March 2025. According to the video, it shows an Israeli airstrike on a displacement camp in Gaza on 23 March 2025. The description of the video read, “Video showed the moment an Israeli airstrike hit a displacement camp for Palestinians in Gaza City. Israel issued an evacuation order from the camp before the explosion as its military intensifies operation throughout the Gaza Strip.”

This makes it clear that the viral video shows an Israeli airstrike on a displacement camp in Gaza on 23 March 2025.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show an explosion in Pakistan recently. It shows an Israeli airstrike on a displacement camp in Gaza on 23 March 2025.
