Old image from Texas shared as Pakistan fighter jets involved in the recent India-Pakistan conflict

As per sources, this image shows two U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcons conduct tactical training over Texas in February 2006.

An image showing a cockpit view from a military fighter jet flying in formation with others is going viral on social media with the claim that it features Pakistan fighter jets involved in the recent India-Pakistan conflict. The caption states, “The iconic return after smoking India’s 1.5 Billion”

Fact Check- 

We started our investigation by performing a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a same image published on a report published by The Times of Israel in 2012 under the caption, “US strikes on Iran would prompt risk of major war, experts state”. This clearly indicates that the image is not recent and not related with the recent India-Pakistan conflict.

Upon further search we found the same image on Wikimedia Commons also. The description states, “Two U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcons conduct tactical training over Texas on Feb. 7, 2006. The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a highly maneuverable, multi-role fighter aircraft. These aircraft and their crews are attached to the 457th Fighter Squadron, 301st Fighter Wing, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas”. It further indicates the image was taken on 7 February 2006 and the source was United States Air Force.

All these evidences indicate that an old image of U.S. Air Force F-16C Fighting Falcons conducting tactical training over Texas falsely shared linking to Pakistan.
