However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is old and unrelated to Operation Sindoor. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a YouTube channel where the viral video was uploaded on 20 November 2024 with the caption, “50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION ELEPHANT WALK OF TURKISH F-4 PHANTOMS – 4K”

The description of the video read, “After an incredible day in the Turkish low flying area we had the good fortune to be guests of the Turkish Air Force at Eskisehir Air Base for the second day of The 50th anniversary celebrations of the F-4E Phantom. The highlight of the day was an Elephant walk of ten phantoms from the base making their way down the runway. Enjoy the video albeit not to the usual high energy levels but still sight to behold.”

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search and found multiple similar videos on YouTube. 

One such video uploaded on 18 November 2024 can be seen below.

We found images similar to the screenshots from the viral video, uploaded on a Facebook page on 24 November 2024. The caption of the post reads, “50th Anniversary of the F-4 Phantom II in service with the Turkish Air Force.  🇹🇷

An unforgettable weekend in the heart of Turkey. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped organize this remarkable experience. Your efforts truly made it memorable!
