However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is old. It shows an Iranian missile attack on Israel in 2024. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a YouTube channel where the viral video was uploaded on 2 October 2024. According to the caption, the video shows Iran’s big attack on Israel. 

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to the X handle “Israelיִשְׂרָאֵל”, where the viral video was uploaded on 1 October 2024. The tweet read, “THIS ISN’T NORMAL. Every single one of these rockets is meant to kill.”

According to reports, Iran launched about 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on 1 October 2024. Many of the missiles were intercepted with the help of the United States, but some fell in central and southern Israel, the Israeli military said.

This makes it clear that the viral video is old and unrelated to Operation Sindoor.
