Old Video From Jebel Ali Port In Dubai Going Viral As Adani Airport In Gujarat.

A video of a fire and smoke in a large area went viral on social media, claiming it to be the current situation of the Adani Airport in Gujarat. Sharing the video, various Pakistan-based social media profiles claimed that Pakistan had attacked the Adani Airport in Gujarat and destroyed it.

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is old and from the UAE. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a tweet where the viral video was uploaded on 8 July 2021. According to the tweet, the video shows an explosion at Jebel Ali Port in Dubai.

Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to the YouTube channel WION, where we found a longer version of the viral video uploaded on 8 July 2021. The description of the video read, “A fire broke out on a container ship in Dubai’s Jebel Ali port following an explosion. The cause of the blast remains unknown and no casualties have been reported yet.”

Moreover, there’s no confirmed news of any attack on the Adani Airport in Gujarat.

This makes it clear that the viral video is old and from Dubai 

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video doesn’t show Adani Airport in Gujarat on fire. This is an old video from the explosion at Jebel Ali Port, Dubai, in 2021.
