In response to the attack on Pahalgam, the Indian Army carried out airstrikes on Pakistan-based terrorist hideouts through Operation Sindoor.
In this backdrop, a video of some people dancing is being shared, claiming that “People in Balochistan are celebrating India’s Operation Sindhoor.”
Fact Check –
A Google reverse image search led us to the same video, uploaded on 15 April 2024 on a facebook handle named “A K Studio”.
The caption of the video read, “People in Balochistan are celebrating India’s Operation Sindhoor.”
Balochi Lewa dance is a special folk dance performed by the people of Balochistan.
Upon further search, it was found that the group in the video was uploaded to YouTube, where they were dancing the Balochi Leva dance.
Conclusion
This proves that the viral video is not related to the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. Basically, this video has been available on social media since 2024 and shows people from Balochistan performing dance. This video is going viral with a false claim.
