The Indian Army carried out missile strikes on nine terror camps in Pakistan under Operation Sindoor.
After this, many videos began circulating on social media, claiming to show real footage of the attack.
One such video shows a helicopter being shot down by a machine gun. It’s being shared as a scene from the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict.
Fact-Check –
A reverse image search showed that the same video was posted on the Newsbreak platform.
The caption of the video read, “Anti aircraft Tank vs UH-60 Helicopter – Military Simulation ArmA 3.”
After searching the words in the caption, it was revealed that the scenes in the viral video are from a game.
The same video was found to have been shared by a YouTube channel called Battle Dragon on November 7, 2024.
The video’s description states that “this video is a virtual game simulation. We will publicize the tragedy of war by reconstructing the battle scene. Built using ARMA 3, ARMA Reforger.”
We came across a similar video on the same YouTube channel, posted on July 15, 2023.
The caption reads “A-10 Warthog Shot Down by Anti-Air Tank Firing Missile – Tracer – Military Simulation – ArmA 3.”
Another video like this was also uploaded on a different YouTube channel on November 20, 2022, which you can see below.
CONCLUSION
The viral video is not of the India-Pakistan war. It is actually a clip from a military simulation video game called Arma 3. The game footage is being shared online with a misleading claim.
