Old Video Of An Airstrike Going Viral As The Recent Indian Airstrike On Pakistan.

India carried out missile attacks on nine terror bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir in the early hours of 7 May 2025. Against this backdrop, various posts went viral on social media. Sharing a video of an Airstrike, a user wrote, “India launches MISSILE ATTACK on Pakistan 🔥. Missiles fired at Koti, Muzaffarabad, and Bahawalpur💀 OPERATION SINDOOR by INDIAN ARMY🙏 Mock Drill Toh Bahana Tha😹”

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the viral video is old and not related to India and Pakistan. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a tweet on 23 October 2023 which contained the viral video. The tweet read, “Tonight, Gaza witnesses the most aggressive bombardment since October 7, with dozens dying by the hour. Israel has made its plan clear to intensify its attacks on the besieged enclave before proceeding with a ground invasion.”

We found a report published on 23 October 2023 that contained an image similar to the screenshots from the viral video. According to the report, Israel launched airstrike on the Gaza Strip in October 2023.

We found the same video uploaded on a YouTube channel on 13 October 2023. The translation of the Arabic caption read, “Gaza was subjected to heavy bombing at night”

Similar videos can be seen here and here. 

This makes it clear that the viral video is old and from Gaza. The video has been there on the internet since at least October 2023.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral video is not related to the recent airstrike by India on Pakistan. The video is old and according to reports, it’s from Gaza. The video has been there on the internet since at least October 2023.
