However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was misleading. The viral video is old and unrelated to Operation Sindoor. Here’s the fact check.
Fact Check
We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram post where the viral video was uploaded on 13 April 2025. The caption of the post read, “Brazillian Made Astros MK3M firing SS-60 rockets at night.”
This makes it clear that the video predates the Pahalgam Terror Attack and Operation Sindoor.
Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to a tweet on 4 April 2025 that contained the viral video. The tweet read, “Brazillian Made Astros MK3M firing SS-60 rockets at night.”
Though we could not confirm the exact location and time of the video, it is clear that the video predates the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is misleading. The viral video is not related to Operation Sindoor. The video is old.
