This video shows the aftermath of an Israeli air strike near a school in the Gaza strip.

India launched missile strikes on nine terrorist targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir in the wee hours of Wednesday, 7 May 2025. The attacks, known as Operation Sindoor, were carried out in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Following the attack, social media was flooded with videos related to the strike. Against this backdrop, a video claims to show a deadly fire in Pakistan in the aftermath of Indian strikes is going viral on social media.

Fact Check-

We started our investigation by running a reverse image search on the same. The results led us to the same video uploaded on YouTube under the caption “The first moments after the bombing of Abu Hameesa School in Al-Bureij Camp in central Gaza Strip”.

So, it indicates that the video has been filmed in Gaza, and shows the aftermath of an Israeli air strike near a school in the strip. The same video was uploaded on Instagram also with the same information. The description states, “Moment of the bombing of Abu Humeisa School with two missiles from warplanes, causing a fire at the site and resulting in a number of martyrs”.

According to the news reports, “At least 22 people, including seven children, were killed and dozens more were injured Tuesday in an Israeli strike on a school compound sheltering thousands of displaced people in the Al Bureij camp in central Gaza, hospital officials said.

Israeli bombing targeted a school-turned-shelter to the east of al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. Abu Hamisa school, sheltering displaced civilians to the east of the refugee camp. The fatalities and casualties were rushed to Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah as well as to Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat.

Tuesday’s strike on the refugee camp comes less than 24 hours after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the population of Gaza will be displaced to the south after his security cabinet approved an expanded military operation in the enclave.
