However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is old and unrelated to the Indus Water Treaty suspension. Here’s the fact check.
Fact Check
We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a longer version of the video uploaded on the Official Facebook page of NBC News on 27 February 2016. The caption of the post reads, “Donald J. Trump mocks 2016 rival Marco Rubio’s infamous water bottle moment while on a campaign stop in Fort Worth, Texas, on Friday.”
Another video report uploaded on the YouTube channel CBS News on 27 February 2016 showed the same clip. The description of the video reads, “During a rally in Texas, Donald Trump mocks Marco Rubio’s water bottle gaffe in 2013 when he delivered the rebuttal to President Obama’s State of the Union. CBSN’s Contessa Brewer shows us the video.”

To learn more about the Marco Rubio water bottle incident, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to a report published in CBS News on 13 February 2013. The report read, “In the official GOP rebuttal to President Obama’s State of the Union speech Tuesday, Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., made a passionate case for the limited role of government in American society. But the gist of his message was lost on the Twittersphere about 11 minutes in, when the visibly overheated senator broke away for a quick sip of water.
Rubio, who had mopped his brow a few times previously during the speech, was in the midst of maligning what he called “false choices” Mr. Obama laid out between big government and big business. But he interrupted his thought to grab a small water bottle apparently at his side, ducking down and nearly out of the camera frame, before taking a sip and continuing with his remarks…”
The video can be seen below.
This makes it clear that the viral video is old and unrelated to the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty by India.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. In the video, Donald Trump is not mocking Pakistan after the suspension of the Indus Water Treaty by India. The video shows Donald Trump mocking Marco Rubio in 2016.
