Fact Check

We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to an Instagram post on 26 September 2022. The post contained the viral video.

The video was uploaded in September 2022, which predates the recent violence in West Bengal. This makes it clear that the viral video is not related to the recent violence in West Bengal.

The hashtag mentioned Rajputana, Maharaja Hari Singh, 23 September 2022, and in the comment section, we saw a user mentioning Jammu Rajputana.

We noticed the vehicles in the video have number plates of Jammu & Kashmir. The blue tractor in the video has the text “Rajput” written in front of it.

Taking this clue we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to another Instagram post that contained the viral video. According to the caption, the video shows a rally organised by Yuva Rajput Sabha Jammu & Kashmir.

We found the Instagram handle of Yuva Rajput Sabha Jammu & Kashmir. We contacted them on Instagram to learn more about the viral video. They replied that the rally was organised on 23 September 2022 by Yuva Rajput Sabha Jammu & Kashmir.
