Muskan Rastogi, accused of murdering her husband Saurabh Rajput with her lover Sahil Shukla in Uttar Pradesh’s Meerut was arrested by the police and sent to judicial custody by a court on 19 March. The police have said the victim’s dismembered body was found stuffed in a drum and that the accused duo planned to flee to Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.
Following this, A video of a woman dancing in a black dress has gone viral on social media with a claim that it shows Muskan Rastogi. The caption states, “Look closely—this is Muskan Rastogi, the woman who brutally murdered her husband and cut him into 15 pieces”.
Fact Check-
We started the investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to an Instagram post containing the similar video by a user named palaksaini143. It was uploaded on 18 March 2025.
Palak Saini’s Instagram bio indicates that she is a model and a content creator from Kharkhoda in Sonipat, Haryana. We found many such dance videos on her account. She frequently shares similar dance videos on her account.
You can see a comparison between the woman in the viral video and accused Muskan Rastogi below. It confirms that they are not the same person.
Taking account of all these evidences, we can understand that the video of a influencer has gone viral misidentifying her as Muskan Rastogi, the woman accused of killing her husband in Meerut.
