This video does not show Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti Celebrations at Ayodhya Ram temple

This viral video shows Dhol Tasha performance by artists from Pune in January 2024 at Ayodhya Ram Temple. 

This year, Shivaji Jayanti was observed throughout the country on February 19th. Against this backdrop, a video showing the people performing moves with the chorus of ‘Jai Bhavani, Jai Shivaji’ is going viral on social media. Users who shared the video claimed that it shows the celebration happened on 19 February 2025, at Ayodhya Ram temple in accordance with Shivaji Jayanti.

Fact Check- 

We started our investigation with a reverse image search on google and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on a YouTube channel on January 25, 2024. 

The video was posted by a YouTube channel named Mana Stars. The video shows the performance by Indra Jimi from Pune, as the title says. ANI has also posted the video on their YouTube channel. 

According to the video description, “Artists from Pune reached Ayodhya on January 25 and performed Dhol Tasha at Ayodhya Ram Temple. Devotees from across India are flocking to Ayodhya to offer prayers to Ram Lalla after Pran Pratishtha ceremony”. 

So, this incidence occurred on January 25th, last year. These scenes have nothing to do with Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, which is celebrated on February 19 each year.

As per the Economics Times report, “Dhol-tasha players from Maharashtra’s Pune turn up the heat at Ayodhya Ram Mandir with their enthralling beats. The group performed with dhols, tashas, drums, and conch shells days after the Ram Lalla consecration ceremony”.

So, the footage being circulated on social media as footage of the Shiva Jayanti celebrations held at the Ram temple in Ayodhya on 19 February 19, 2025 is a year old. The footage shows a performance by artists who came from Pune on January 25 last year.  

Conclusion- 

Fact crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be Misleading. This viral video shows Dhol Tasha performance by artists from Pune in January 2024 at Ayodhya Ram Temple. It has no link to Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti
