Dance video of social media influencer Sangeeta Mishra goes viral as Delhi CM Rekha Gupta

The dancer seen in the viral video is not Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, but a social media influencer named Sangeeta Mishra.

The Bharatiya Janata Party won the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections, and Rekha Gupta took oath as Delhi’s Chief Minister. Several videos surfaced on the internet following this event. Amidst this, a woman dancing to a Bollywood song is going viral with the claim that it shows old videos of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta.

Fact Check- 

We started the investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to an Instagram account named Sangeeta Mishra. The same viral video was uploaded there on 17 February 2025. On searching the account, we found that she is a social media influencer and she keeps sharing such dance videos. 

We found many such dance videos on her account. She frequently shares similar dance videos on her account. 

Moving forward, we found Sangeeta Mishra’s YouTube channel. She has also shared such dance videos on  YouTube also. 

You can see a comparison between the woman in the viral video and Delhi CM Rekha Gupta below. It confirms that they are not the same person.

Conclusion- 

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. The dancer seen in the viral video is not Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, but a social media influencer named Sangeeta Mishra.
