Fact Check-

A Google Reverse Image Search on a keyframe led us to the same video uploaded on a Facebook page on 4 November 2024. According to the information, this incident took place in a place called Raiwind. The caption of the video (after translation) reads, “A bus fell into a dirty drain while returning from a gathering

Google Search revealed that Raiwind is a town in Lahore, Pakistan.

Since the video is dated 2024, it is not possible that it is from the Mahakumbh Mela organized in Prayagraj.

A keyword search led us to the same video uploaded on Aaj News Official’s YouTube channel on 3 November 2024. According to the report, the accident took place when the bus was returning from a gathering in Raiwind. The bus was attempting to overtake when loose soil caused a pothole to form, leading the bus to slip into the drain. There were 70 passengers in the bus. All the passengers were rescued and no serious injuries were reported.

The same incident was reported by another Pakistani media channel Hum News on 3 November 2024. Below you can see the video.

According to the Dawn report, people were returning by bus after attending the Tablighi Jamaat organized in Raiwind on 3 November. Then the bus crashed near Pul No. 2 in Lahore and fell into an open drain, injuring 29 people. The injured were admitted to the hospital located at Raiwind Tehsil headquarters and Lahore General Hospital. The trapped bus was pulled out with the help of a crane.

Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The incident of the bus accident was from Pakistan and not related to the Mahakumbh Mela organized in Prayagraj.
