This viral video does not show a real International Flight Landing Announcement for the 2025 Prayagraj Maha Kumbh

The viral video was made by a digital content creator named Anvesh Patel from Hyderabad, Telangana and the announcement was voiced with the help of a friend from the United States.

Mahakumbh Mela 2025 officially commenced on 13 January, 2025 continuing until 26 February, 2025 in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. The mela is held every 12 years and attracts millions of pilgrims, saints, and tourists. Many videos of Prayagraj Mahakumbh are going viral on social media. 

Amidst this, a video of an international pilot making an in-flight announcement about the Maha Kumbh along with the aerial images of the festival is increasingly going viral. In the video, the pilot is giving a wonderful description of this grand event in his own voice. He is presenting the vastness of the Mahakumbh and the devotion of the devotees gathered there in a very enthusiastic manner. The pilot further adds that this Maha Kumbh was a once-in-144-year occasion, asking everyone on board to take a holy bath and seek the blessings of Naga Sadhus as soon as they land.

The video is being shared with the claim that it is a real international flight landing announcement for the Kumbh Mela.

Fact Check- 

We started our investigation with a reverse image search on google and the results led us to a similar video uploaded on the Instagram handle @anveshgraphy belonging to Anvesh Patel on 25 January 2025. The description of the post states that the aerial shots of the 2025 Prayagraj Maha Kumbh were taken by him during his visit, and the voiceover audio is original and fully copyrighted.

After analysing his Instagram profile, we found that he is a digital content creator, photographer and videographer from Hyderabad, Telangana, who made this video.

We went through the user’s profile and found a similar video as this. Accompanied by aerial visuals of Hyderabad, a similar audio of a pilot making an announcement about flying over it could be heard.

For more clarification about the viral video, we reached out to Anvesh Patel who confirmed that he captured the viral video and wrote the script. The audio was created with the help of a friend from the United States, and it has an original human voice with some echo effects.

Based on these evidences, we can understand that the viral video of an International Flight Landing Announcement for the 2025 Prayagraj Maha Kumbh is a creation of a digital content creator, not a real announcement.
