AI-Generated Images Of Bollywood Celebrities Going Viral As Real.

Recently, images of Bollywood celebrities wearing saffron clothes went viral on social media, claiming that they reached Prayagraj for the ongoing Maha Kumbh Mela. A Facebook user posted a photo of Bollywood actors Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan wearing saffron clothes, Tilak and Garland and wrote, “Salman Khan & Shahrukh Khan ❤️❤️

The Bollywood Superstar Coming for Maha Kumbh Mela Prayagraj….🙏

India is so beautiful country of full worlds…. ❤️❤️

#salmankhan #sarukhkhan”

An Instagram user uploaded a few photos of other Bollywood celebrities like Tamannah Bhatia, Kareena Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Akshay Kumar, Allu Arjun, Ranveer Singh, Pankaj Tripathi, Rajpal Yadav and Ramcharan in similar attire and claimed that the photos show Bollywood celebrities at Maha Kumbh Mela.

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The photos are not real, these are AI-generated. Here’s the fact check.

Fact Check 

At the beginning of our investigation, we noticed the logo of “abp LIVE” on the viral images. Taking this clue, we conducted a relevant keyword search. This led us to a report published on the “abp news” website on 17 January 2025 that contained a few similar images of Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan, Dipika Padukone, Akshay Kumar etc. According to the report, the images were AI-generated.

Moving forward, conducting a reverse image search, we found the viral images on the Instagram handle “abpnewstv” uploaded on 17 January 2025. The caption was written in Hindi language and according to the caption, the images are AI-generated.

We checked the viral images with the AI detector tools, and the results said that the images were AI-generated.

This makes it clear that the viral images are not real, these are AI-generated.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral images of Bollywood celebrities at the Maha Kumbh Mela are not real. These are AI-generated images.
