A video of P M Modi interacting with school children is going viral on social media. Users who share the post are taking a dig at PM Modi by claiming that this is a video of a school built by Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi.  This video is being shared with the claim that this is a government school in Delhi, which is in very good condition.

Fact Check-

We began our search with the keyword and reverse image search on Google and the results led us to several news reports featuring the same viral image. These reports states that the viral video was from a school in Varanasi. During his visit, the prime minister interacted with children who asked him questions, learned about him, and recited poems.

Further, we found the full version of the video on the Official YouTube channel of PM Narendra Modi streamed on 18 December 2023 with the caption, “PM Modi interacts with tiny tots during a school visit in Varanasi”.

The description part states, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited a government school which was upgraded and interacted with children. PM had a heartful interaction with the tiny tots and other children as they narrated how their school has been transformed and it is helping them in their academics”.

As per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a two-day visit in his parliamentary constituency Varanasi in December 2023 to launch 37 projects worth over Rs 19,000 crore for the development of the region. During this, he visited the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra exhibition at Cutting Memorial Inter College in Varanasi. PM Modi then met children at Nand Ghar (a model school).

Thus, it is evident that the viral video of PM Modi interacting with schoolchildren is not from Delhi but Varanasi.
