Fact Check-

We started our investigation by running a reverse image search on Google with the key frames of the video and the results led us to a report published on the Republic World on 3 April 2024 including the screen shot of the viral video. Moving forward, we found the similar video uploaded on a YouTube channel under the caption, “Demolition begins on tilted Uranus Building, a symbol of Taiwan earthquake”. The description part states, “Demolition works began on April 5 on a residential building in Hualien, Taiwan. Known as the Uranus Building, the 10-storey structure was left tilted at a sharp angle following the 7.4-magnitude earthquake on April 3”.

As per reports, The Uranus building in central Hualien, Taiwan, has been hanging on by a thread when a magnitude 7.4 earthquake struck Taiwan, causing substantial damage across the island and prompting a tsunami warning.

The Uranus the 10-storey building, which includes a combination of residential apartments and stores, was knocked to the side during the quake and has been sitting at a 25-degree angle. Demolition began on the building two days after the quake and completed after a two-week period.

So, it is clear that this viral video does not show the earthquake that hit Tibet, Nepal, and India recently.
