Fact Check-

We started our investigation with a reverse image search on Google and the results led us to the same video uploaded on Twitter by AF post on 20 July, 2024. The caption states, “Remigration rally in Vienna today.”

Using this hint, we looked further and found a news report regarding this event.

a report by Associated Press published on Voice of America on 21 July, 2024, detailing a march by “hundreds of right-wing extremists in the Austrian capital.” It also featured an image of a protest similar to the one seen in the viral video with the caption, “Participants of the Identitarian movement take part in a demonstration in Vienna, Austria, July 20, 2024.”

A July 2024 report from Austria-based Heute confirms this, detailing two opposing demonstrations held in Vienna’s city center that day. The report features an image of participants holding the same banner seen in the viral video.
