Recently a video went viral on social media where a documentary on the Babri Masjid demolition was being shown on a big screen on a street. Social media users are claiming this video to be from Bangladesh. Sharing the video on Facebook, a user wrote, “In Bangladesh, the demolition of Babri Masjid is being shown on huge screens!*
To incite the Muslim community against Hindus and cause terrible bloodshed! The leaders and maulanas of Bangladesh are directly challenging the Prime Minister of India, inciting India to attack Bangladesh by any means! This is a deep ploy of the Deep State and George Soros, they want to create adverse conditions before the arrival of Donald Trump!! Secular Hindus beware, if you want to protect your Sanskrit heritage and children then stop licking the feet of the Indi Bhindi Alliance sycophants!

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the claim was false. The viral video is not from Bangladesh but from India. Here’s the fact check.
Fact Check
We started our investigation by taking some screenshots from the viral video and conducting a reverse image search. This led us to a tweet on X on 6 December 2024 where the viral video was uploaded with a caption in Hindi, “बाबरी मस्जिद की दास्तान SDPI की ज़ुबान 💔बाबरी मस्जिद को कभी नहीं भूलेंगे और ना ही किसी को भूलने देंगे इंशाअल्लाह☝️”(The story of Babri Masjid in the language of SDPI 💔We will never forget Babri Masjid and we will never let anyone forget it, Insha Allah ☝️)
In the comments section, we could see that a user mentioned SDPI Mumbra.
SDPI (Social Democratic Party Of India) is a political party in India that was founded on 21 June 2009 in New Delhi. It was registered with the Election Commission of India on 13 April 2010.
We found a similar video from a different angle on the X handle of SDPI Mumbra Kalwa. The caption of the tweet read, “SDPI Mumbra hosts an exhibition on the Babri Masjid timeline, uncovering the history and significance of this Black Day.”
We found a 10-second clip from the viral video on the X handle of SDPI Mumbra Kalwa on 6 December 2024. The caption of the tweet read, “Babri Masjid Timeline Exhibition | SDPI Mumbra at Darul Falah | A Journey Through History”
They provided a YouTube link in the caption. Clicking on the link we found the full video on the official YouTube channel of SDPI Kalwa Mumbra.
According to the caption of this video, the event was held at Darul Falah. Darul Falah is a mosque in Mumbra that can be seen on Google Maps. The comparison between the Google Map image and screenshots from the video found on the X handle of SDPI can be seen below.
This makes it clear that the video is from Mumbra, Maharashtra.
When we contacted the office of SDPI Kalwa Mumbra, they confirmed that the video was of them and they had shown the documentary. The video was displayed on a big screen near Darul Falah Masjid in Mumbra, a suburb of Thane.
Moreover, we could not find any credible report of such an event in Bangladesh.
Conclusion
From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The documentary on the Babri Masjid demolition was being shown in Mumbra, Maharashtra, by SDPI. The video has no link to Bangladesh.
