An image of a car is currently circulating on social media, claiming that “Tata Trust Chairman Noel Tata has announced the launch of a new Nano model.”
Upon verification, it was found that the viral photo had been edited and does not depict a Tata Nano. The original image is of a Toyota Aygo X.
Fact Check
First of all, if Tata Company had made any such announcement, it would have been big news. However, no such news appears on Tata Company’s social media or any official news media.
Further reverse image search revealed that a YouTube channel called Hugh Bogan Motors posted a video on August 15, 2023, featuring a car similar to the one in the viral image.
The caption of the video stated the name of the car as ‘Toyota – Aygo X – Pulse’.
Further investigation into the matter revealed that a car similar to the one in the viral photo was found on the Toyota company’s website.
The comparison picture below reveals that the image of the Toyota Aygo-X car has been edited to include the Tata company logo and the Nano nameplate.

Conclusion
This confirms that the viral image is edited. The original image is not of Tata’s Nano but of Toyota’s Aygo-X car. Furthermore, Noel Tata or Tata Motors have not made any announcement regarding the launch of a new Nano model.
