Video of an accident at a fireworks shop in Hyderabad is going viral as an incident from Delhi.

Currently, a video of a firework shop is going viral on social media. In the video, it was seen that when a huge crowd was buying crackers at a shop, a fire accident took place which rapidly engulfed the shop and nearby places. People were seen running out of the shop trying to save their lives. Users are claiming that this incident took place at a firework shop in Delhi. 

However, fact Crescendo found the claim to be misleading. The incident of a fire breaking out at a firework shop is from Hyderabad and not Delhi.

Fact Check- 

A relevant keyword search on Google led us to a tweet by Times of India Hyderabad on 28 October 2024. According to the information, the incident took place at a firecracker store in Bogulkunta region of Hyderabad. Just before the accident, customers and workers tried to flee from the shop.  

A report of the incident has been aired on News9 Live’s YouTube channel. According to reports, a fire broke out at Pars Baan shop in Sultan Bazar area of ​​Hyderabad on 27th October. Firefighters reached the spot and extinguished the fire. No one was reported injured. According to police officials, the shop was not a licensed one. Many safety measures like fire extinguishers, sand buckets etc were not taken care of. 

We also noticed that there was a restaurant named ‘Taaza Tiffins’ next to the shop that caught fire. After searching for this restaurant on Google Maps, we found that it is located in Hanuman Tekdi, Hyderabad.

Conclusion: 

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be misleading. The video of a fire incident at a firecracker shop is from Hyderabad and not from Delhi or Ghaziabad.
