Fact Check-

We started our investigation by doing a Google keyword search, to find out about a relevant news report or video about the McDonald’s corporate employee interview with Kamala Harris. However, we could not find any relevant information about McDonald’s or Kamala Harris.

Another keyword search led us to an article published on a website named ‘America’s Last Line of Defense’- The Dunken Kruger Times. This website has the articles mentioning about the interview stating that “A spokesperson for the McDonald’s Corporation has informed ALLOD’s journalistic department that they do have a record of Kamala Harris working for their company in the summer of 1981.

She was fired for stealing “a substantial amount” of chicken McNuggets.

“Kamala was reportedly a great employee,” said Spokesman Joe Barron, “But she made that fatal error of stealing from the hand that fed her.””

We then looked into the ‘About Us’ section of this website to understand the authenticity of the website. This section clearly states that “Dunning-Kruger-Times.com is a subsidiary of the “America’s Last Line of Defense” network of parody, satire, and tomfoolery, or as Snopes called it before they lost their war on satire: Junk News.”

This makes it very clear that the viral claim has been taken from a satirical website and is not true.

Next, we also searched for Joe Barron on Google who was claimed to be the spokesperson of McDonald’s; however,we could not find any such person. Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found the claim made by the viral post to be False. The post claiming “McDonald’s Corporate has confirmed that Kamala Harris worked for Mcdonalds in the summer of 1981 and was fired for stealing” was taken from a satire website which states that nothing on their website is true. A statement from the satire website has been falsely shared as a real incident. McDonald’s has not confirmed that Kamala Harris was hired for stealing. The viral claim is false.
