Fact Check-

After looking at the video closely, we found that the language of the people shouting does not sound like any Indian language. This raised our suspicion that the video may not be from India.

A Google Reverse Image search led us to the same video uploaded on a facebook page on 5 May 2024. According to the information, the incident is from Antioquia, Colombia. 30 houses were reported to be destroyed in this avalanche. The inhabitants of the La Honda and Sarcitos districts in the Montebello municipality, in southwestern Antioquia, faced a torrential flood that occurred after heavy rains.

Further, we found a news report from 6 May 2024 on a YouTube channel. According to the report, the video is from Montebello, Antioquia in Colombia. Heavy rains had led to this avalanche which affected the lives of more than 100 people. The viral clip can be seen from 2.00 minute onwards. The caption of the video reads, “This is how the community managed to prevent an avalanche in Montebello that left fatalities.”

After the video went viral on social media, Uttarakhand Police clarified via tweet that this is not an incident from Shri Badrinath Dham. Some people are spreading this rumor and actions will be taken by police against such people.
