Fact Check- 

We started our investigation by running a relevant keyword and reverse image search on Google and the results led us to the same image published in a report published on Firstpost‘s website on 28 August, 2018. According to the article, the viral image was taken during the Asian Games’ javelin throw event. Neeraj Chopra won the gold, while Nadeem Khan took the bronze. During that time, he praised Neeraj Chopra and said he was really impressed by him.

Upon further search, we found this image on the stock photo website Getty Images also. According to the information given in it, this image is after the final of the men’s javelin throw athletics event during the Asian Games on 27 August 2018, in which Indian gold medallist Neeraj Chopra shakes hands with bronze medallist Arshad Nadeem. 

Taking account of all these evidences, it is clear that the viral image is not from the Paris Olympics but from the Asian Games 2018.
