Fact Check-

A Google Reverse Image Search led us to a Thailand’s entertainment YouTube Channel in which the same person can be seen wearing the same attire and holding the same gun as shown in the viral image. This video dates back to 2019.

At the time frame 3.10 minutes, you can see the person standing holding the gun and mirror in the same posture as shown in the viral image. Below you can see the comparison.

Furthermore, a Thai website recently published the same image. The name of the person was mentioned as Teng Terd Terng. A Facebook user uploaded Teng’s photo while he was showing his shooting skills. The image went viral after someone edited the background to look like the Paris Olympics 2024. The website mentioned that this image was taken from a Facebook user’s account named Milo Doddad.

We searched for Milo Doddad’s Facebook account and found the same image uploaded on 1 August 2024. In the caption, he wrote, “If I had a career making memes, I would probably earn 20,000 baht a month.

In another post, the same user had mentioned that he likes to make such memes and satirical images. He creates them for the viewers to be entertained.

We also searched for the guns used in the 2024 Paris Olympics. We found that the guns used in the competition have a longer barrel compared to the one the man in the viral image is using.  Below you can see the comparison.

Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found that the viral image was edited. The image of the man showing his shooting skills is not from the 2024 Paris Olympics.
