Image Of Toyota Aygo X Going Viral As TATA Nano Electric Car.

Recently an image of a car went viral on social media claiming it to be TATA Nano’s new electric car. Sharing the image user wrote, “New Electric TATA NANO Car is coming in this year….♥️….”

In another post, a user wrote,”दोस्तों टाटा की नेनौ वापिस आने वाली है । अबकी बार ये इलेक्ट्रिक ⚡️ आयेगी ॥ किस किस को इंतज़ार है इस कार का 🤩🤩 #newpost2024 #new #photochallenge #tatanano #nano”

However, as we investigated, we came to know that the viral image does not show the TATA Nano electric car, it’s the Toyota Aygo X instead. Here’s the fact check.

We started our investigation by conducting a reverse image search and as a result, we found an Image of a car on a website which was similar to the viral image. But the logo of the car was of Toyota and it was Aygo X. 

Comparing both the images, we found some similarities. The comparison can be seen below.

Taking this clue, using relevant keywords, we came across an article published on the website “auto.cz” with the headline “Toyota Aygo X has finally arrived in Prague. What new did we learn?”. There, we have found an image similar to the viral image. There it was mentioned that the Toyota Aygo X produced in the Czech Republic finally had its official Czech premiere.

The Toyota Aygo X is a hatchback produced by Toyota since March 2022, as a 5-door crossover city car in the A-segment. Using the Aygo nameplate, it is primarily marketed for the European market. It is built at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Czech Republic (TMMCZ, formerly known as TPCA) plant in Kolín, Czech Republic, and replaces the previous Aygo hatchback produced in two generations from 2005 to 2022.

Conclusion 

From our investigation, we can say that the claim is false. The viral image doesn’t show the new electric car of TATA Nano. This is a Toyota Aygo X actually.
