A black-and-white image of former Congress President Sonia Gandhi smoking a cigarette has been going viral on social media. But when we investigated this picture, we found that it is a false image that was altered and produced. Let’s see what is the reality of this Image.
Fact Check-
By closely observing the viral image, we found that Remaker was written in the lower corner of the picture. Remaker is an is an editing tool which uses artificial intelligence to perform various functions like face swap in images and videos. With this tool face swap, we can replace one person’s face with another person’s face in a picture. Sonia Gandhi’s face can be edited in this picture using this tool.
When we checked the image by doing a reverse image search on Google, we received the original image. The original picture is of an Iranian woman. Farzad Sarfarazi, an Iranian photographer, captured this picture in 2012.
