Fact Check-

First, we checked at the Kasaragod Muslim League’s office opening. This revealed information about the opening of the league office in Arangadi. Arangadi is a place in Kasaragod District in Kerala. Moving forward, we have come across the same video of people wearing the same jersey in the same place was discovered IUML Arangadi Facebook page.

In this video, we can see Arangadi written on the front of the t-shirts in Malayalam language and MYL and IUML written on the shoulders of the t-shirts.

Upon further search, we found a video of a road show by Muslim League activists wearing the same jersey seen in the viral video has been shared on the Pachapada Arangadi Facebook page on 28 June. The words written on the jersey are clearly visible in this video. The front has the logo of the league on the right side and the same logo used as the profile picture of Pachapada Arangadi Facebook page on the left side.

For further confirmation, we contacted the Indian Union Muslim League office, and they clarified to us that the campaign posts are misleading. There are no similarities between the jerseys worn by activists of IUML and the Pakistan cricket team jersey, apart from the green colour. As part of the dress code for the inaugural event, activists created this jersey. It features both the league and Pachapada Arangadi logos.

Meanwhile, we checked the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) website, where you can see the jersey. The jersey features the logos of the ICC T20 World Cup, the PCB and team sponsor Pepsi. You can see that below

All of the above evidence suggests Muslim League activists did not wear Pakistani cricket team jerseys during the Muslim League office’s inauguration in Kasaragod, Kerala.

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be Misleading. IUML activists were not wearing Pakistani cricket jerseys during the inauguration of the Muslim League office in Kasaragod, Kerala.
