In a recent incident, actor turned politician Kangna Ranaut was slapped by a CISF Jawan, Kulwinder Kaur at Chandigarh Airport. As per reports, Kulwinder Kaur was suspended and then arrested in connection with this incident.
Against this background, an image of a lady standing with the Gandhi family is going viral on social media. Users are claiming that the lady in the image next to Rahul Gandhi is the same CISF Jawan Kulwinder Kaur who slapped Kangna Ranaut.
A user wrote, “This is the same Kulwinder Kaur who attacked Kangna Ranaut. After seeing this image, you all must have understood the conspiracy behind the incident.”
However, Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The lady standing with the Gandhi family is not Kulwinder Kaur but DIvya Mahipal Maderna, a MP from Rajasthan.
Fact Check-
A Google Reverse Image Search led us to the same image posted on 14 February 2024 on a Twitter Account carrying the name Divya Maderna. The caption of the post reads, “Welcomed Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi”
After this, we looked for more information on Divya Madrena. According to the information, Divya Madrena is a MP of Indian National Congress (INC) from Lohavat constituency in Rajasthan.
We also found a few other images of the same event posted on her official Twitter Account on 14 February. In her post, she congratulated Smt. Sonia Gandhi on filling her nomination papers as the COngress Party’s Rajya Sabha candidate from Rajasthan.
From the above facts, it is clear that the lady in the viral image is not Kulwinder Kaur but Divya Madrena, a Congress MP from Rajasthan.
