Contrary to the viral social media post, Walmart has not announced a return to 24-hour operations. In 2020, the company ceased 24-hour operations in response to the coronavirus pandemic and adjusted its store hours to operate from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. local time.
Carla Landon, the Global Communications Director at Walmart, has confirmed to the Fact Crescendo team that there are no current plans to return their stores to 24-hour operations. This statement is consistent with a similar response from Walmart in July 2022, when another version of this claim circulated.
