A video of a policeman beating a group of Muslim people outside the mosque is going viral on social media with a claim that Indian police are experts in dealing with Muslims because they know that mosques are the source of terrorism.

By performing a reverse image search on Google with the key frames of the viral video, we were directed to an ANI report published on 26 March, 2020. As per the report, Karnataka Police thrashed people for violating the coronavirus lockdown in Belgaum on March 26. The incident took place outside a mosque when people were returning after offering prayers. The incident has no communal angle.

The incident took place outside a mosque when people were returning after offering prayers.  Muslim people were beaten by Karnataka police because local Muslims were offering prayers amid the nationwide lockdown.
