Yogi Adityanath’s face was not deliberately blurred in this video to highlight Modi

The media channel blurred the ANI logo (from which the video was sourced) in its video report, due to which the face of Yogi Adityanath got blurred. 

PM Modi visited the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi before filing his nomination for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Against this backdrop, a video of PM Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath worshiping at the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh is viral on social media. Along with this, it is being claimed that CM Yogi’s face was deliberately blurred in the video to highlight Modi.

We analysed the video carefully and we found a logo of ‘Hindi Khabar’ on it. we conducted a search on their social media profiles. This led us to their Twitter post, wherein they issued a clarification regarding the viral claim. In the post, they refuted Supriya Shrinatet’s claim and wrote, the viral video bears a large logo of news agency ANI. A trainee journalist of Hindi Khabar Digital had blurred this logo and not Yogi ji’s face. It was also told in this post that 5 seconds of this video of about 4 minutes 40 seconds is being cut and shared, whereas in the entire video, CM Yogi can be seen worshiping with Prime Minister Modi several times.

Moving forward, we found the original video released by ‘Hindi Khabar’ on ANI Hindi’s official channel. In this video, it can be seen that the ANI logo is covering Yogi’s face several times, which makes it clear that if its logo is blurred, his face also gets blurred.

The video of PM Modi performing religious rites at the Kashi Vishwanath temple has been uploaded on Prime Minister’s YouTube channel also, where Yogi Adityanath’s face was clearly visible in the video.
