Is this a video of a couple indulging in obscene acts on a bus in Delhi? Know the truth.

Currently, a video of a couple indulging in obscene acts on a bus in presence of other commuters is going viral on social media. The video was filmed by another passenger traveling in the same bus. 

Users are claiming that this is an incident from Delhi. One user wrote, “After Delhi Metro, now couple are indulging in obscene acts on a bus in Delhi

However, Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. This video is from Odisha and not Delhi.

Fact Check- 

After looking at the viral video closely, we found that there were some instructions written on the bus in Odia language. 

Apart from this, we also found the conductor of the bus wearing an uniform carrying CRUT logo. CRUT stands for Central Region Urban Transport. CRUT runs government owned bus and e-rickshaws called Mo Bus and Mo E-Rickshaw respectively. 

A relevant keyword search led us to a video uploaded on Kalinga Today Live’s YouTube channel. According to the report, the incident of the viral video is from Odisha. Two students indulge themselves in obscene activities on a public bus while commuting. It is not clear till now who these students are and which institutions they belong to. Speculations are that these two were traveling from Konark to Bhubaneswar. 

Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The video of young couples engaged in obscene acts on a bus is not from Delhi but from Odisha.
