Old video from Georgia Supermarket falsely shared linking to Dubai floods.

This is an old video from an incident that occurred in Georgia in the year 2018 where a fish tank reportedly broke in a super market in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia.

On 16 April 2024, heavy rains caused floods in the United Arab Emirates, affected cities of mainly Dubai and Sharjah, the northern Emirates. According to the Emirati National Center for Meteorology, this was the country’s heaviest rainfall recorded in 75 years. Amidst this, a video is circulating in one of the supermarkets in the city of Dubai, purporting to be the footage of fish floating on the floor. There are scenes of watery fish floating on the floor of supermarket aisles and staff trying unsuccessfully to catch them. Crediting the visuals as being from Dubai, the accompanying caption reads: “Dubai UAE: Live Fish see in a supermarket after the flooding that recently took place, as water slowly drains out.”
