A video of Pakistani cricketer Babar Azam reacting angrily to the spectators is going viral on social media. In the video, Babar Azam was sitting with other members of his team when the spectators started shouting Jay Shree Ram and Har Har Mahadev. Spectators also shouted ‘tel laga ke dabur ka, naam mita do Babar ka.’ Listening to this Babar Azam got enraged and was about to throw a bottle at the spectators.
However, Fact Crescendo found the video to be altered. Babar Azam did not react angrily after spectators chanted Jay Shree Ram. Spectators were trolling him by calling him Zimbaber.
Fact Check-
A Google Reverse Image Search on a keyframe led us to the same video uploaded on a YouTube channel on 24 February 2024. We found that, in this video, spectators were not shouting Jay SHree Ram but trolling Babar Azam by calling him Zimbabar. After listening to this, Babar Azam lost his cool.
According to the information, this incident took place during a match of Pakistan Cricket League (PSL). Some Virat Kohli fans among the spectators started trolling Babar Azam which led him to almost throw a water bottle on the spectators.

According to a News 18 report, Peshawar Zalmi skipper Babar Azam got angry after the fans chanted Zimbabar. At that time Babar was sitting with his team members and watching an ongoing match. This incident took place in Multan.
Using various keywords, we tried to find out where the slogan ‘tel laga ke dabur ka, naam mita do Babar ka’ originally came from. We found a video on Youtube where a group of people were heard chanting the same slogan. Below you can see the video.
Conclusion:
Fact Crescendo found that the video was altered. In the original video, spectators were trolling Babar Azam by calling him Zimbabar. There was no chanting of Jay Shree Ram, Har Har Mahadev or any other slogans.
