Fact Check-

We started our investigation by conducting keyword and reverse image search on Google and the results led us to a report published by Bengali media outlet ABP on 24 March, 2021. The report carried a screenshot from the viral video. According to the report, The BJP announced candidates for 12 constituencies in Malda district on 18 March 2021 and then party members expressed discontent with the candidate selection for six seats. That dissatisfaction over candidate selection led to the vandalisation of the BJP party office in Malda’s Gazole, resulting in the suspension of the party’s then leader, Sagarika Sarkar.
