The whole nation and the world are witnessing the year’s biggest event, with celebrities from all walks of life flocking to Jamnagar in Gujarat to attend billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding bash.

Billionaires from around the world, heads of state, and Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities were invited to attend the three-day pre-wedding spectacle, which began on March 1, 2024.Team India along with other nation’s top cricketers also arrived in Jamnagar on Friday including MS Dhoni.

Against this backdrop, a viral video that grabbed everyone’s attention is Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and actor Anushka Sharma have also arrived in Jamnagar to participate in the program being held at Ambani’s house.

Fact Check- 

We started our investigation by running a reverse image search on Google, whose results led us to a report published on the website of  Hindustan Times in June 2022. A screengrab of the viral video is also present in this. According to the information given here, this video of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma is from Mumbai airport.

In further search we found a post shared on Bollywood Society’s  Facebook page on8 June, 2022 along with the viral video of Virat and Anushka. According to the information given with the video, both were seen at the airport.

As per reports team India’s star cricketer Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma are currently in London. On 20 February, 2024, the couple announced the birth of their second child, Akaay. Virat Kohli made the big announcement on his social media handle and requested for privacy during this moment.

Thus the claim of Virat and Anushka going to Anant Ambani –Radhika Merchant’s pre-wedding event in Jamnagar is misleading. Virat-Anushka’s viral video is about one and a half years old.
