12 Golden vahanas donated to Bhadrachalam temple by NRI association goes viral linking to Ayodhya Ram Temple

The video shows the golden vahanas given to the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam, Telangana, by the NRI Vasavi Association in the United States in March 2023. It has no link to Ayodhya Ram Temple.

Following the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the practice of receiving gifts from throughout the country continues. Now, a video has surfaced stating that the NRI Vasavi Association in the United States gifted 12 new golden vahanas (vehicles) to Lord Ram at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. The vahanas are vehicles that are used for carrying the deity of the temple during the festival procession.

The video is circulating with the caption, “NRI Vasavi Association, USA has presented 12 gold vahanas for #RamLalla in Ayodhya”

Fact Check- 

We started our investigation by running a reverse image search on Google, the results led us to a video report published by V6 news channel, with the title, “12 New Gold Divya Vahana Pratista at Bhadrachalam Temple, NRI Vasavi Sangham Donate Vahanas”. It was uploaded on 21 March 2023. The video shows the new Golden vahanas donated to the Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam, Telangana. 

Lord Sree Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam is a Hindu temple of Lord Rama located in Telangana, India. The area is called as Bhadrachalam. As per reports US-based association named NRI Vasavi Association (NRIVA) gifted 12 new vahanas with a cost of Rs. 67 lakhs to the Sree Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in last March 2023.

Under the instruction of the NRI Vasavi Association of USA manufactured 12 vehicles at Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu. It includes the Sovereign vahanas Hanuman vahana, Kalpavriksha vahana, Throne, Hamsa vahana, Simha, Gaja, Asva, Chandraprabha, Suryaprabha, Garuda and Sesha vahanas. The vahanas were donated for Thiruveedi Seva at the Bhadrachalam temple, several news websites published articles. In addition, for clarification we contacted the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Aditya of the Ram Mandir trust desk refuted the claim. He informed us that this was fake news. They have no information about this.

Conclusion- 

Fact Crescendo found that the claim along with the viral video to be False. The video shows the golden vahanas given to the Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam, Telangana, by the NRI Vasavi Association in the United States in March 2023. It has no link to Ayodhya Ram Temple.
