Is this the video of different world leaders arriving in India for Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha?

Currently, a video showing the arrival of many political leaders from various countries arriving at the airport is going viral on social media. In the video we can see Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau, US President Joe Biden, UK’s PM Rishi Sunak and his wife, UAE’s President, Australia and Turkey’s PM etc getting down from a plane. 

Users are claiming that these world leaders had arrived in India for Ayodhya Ram Mandir’s Pran Pratishtha occasion. 

However, Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. This video was created compiling different videos showing the arrival of different world leaders in India to attend the G20 Leaders Summit held in 2023. 

Sharing the video a user wrote, “Ram Mandir Ayodhya welcomes the guest Presidents on 22 January 2024”

Clip 1: Arrival of Canada PM Justin Trudeau

A Google Reverse Image Search on the clip led us to a report published by NDTV on 9 September 2023. According to the report, Canada’s PM Justin Trudeau travelled to India for the G20 Summit held in India with his son Xavier Trudeau. They arrived in India on 8 September 2023 and were received by Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar. 

Clip 2: Arrival of US President Joe Biden

A video on Dainik Jagran’s official YouTube channel showed this clip of the US President Joe Biden’s arrival at the airport and getting down from the plane. This video was uploaded on 8 September 2023. The caption reads, “US PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN ARRIVES AT AIRPORT TO ATTEND G20 NEW DELHI LEADERS SUMMIT”

Clip 3: Arrival of UK’s PM Rishi Sunak and his wife

A Zee Business report on 8 September 2023, carried an image of Rishi Sunak and his wife getting down from the plane. Both of them were wearing the same outfit that is similar to the viral video. According to the report, Rishi Sunak and his wife Akshata Murty were received by Union Minister of State in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Ashwini Kumar Choubey at the airport. Rishi Sunak arrived in India for the G20 Summit.  

Clip 4: 

The same video was uploaded in ANI’s YouTube channel. The caption reads, “UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrives in Delhi for G 20 Summit”

Clip 5: Arrival of Australia’s PM Albanese

Republic World report on 8 September 2023 stated that Australia’s PM Albanese arrived in India for the G20 Summit with his partner Jodie Haydon. He was welcomed by the Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Rajeev Chandrasekhar. 

Clip 6 and Clip 7 showed the arrivals of Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Brazil’s President Luiz Inacio respectively. According to the Times of India and Zee News report, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President Luiz Inacio arrived at the Delhi airport on 8 September 2023 to attend the G20 Leaders Summit. 

Conclusion: 

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The viral video showed the arrival of the world’s political leaders from different countries to attend the G20 Leaders Summit held in September 2023 in New Delhi. This video has no connection with the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha.
