A video of Ram being written with the flashing lights of cars is being shared rapidly on social media. The video is shared with the claims that an Indian lord Ram devotee and an owner of a Tesla showroom in the United States organized the event in connection with the consecration ceremony of the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

The caption of the video states,“Ram Bhakt Indian owner of Tesla car showroom in Maryland USA, organized Tesla Music Show featuring 100 Tesla cars in formation that spelled RAM, and synchronized the headlights and music to Ram Dhoon. #RamMandirPranPrathistha #RamLalla #RamMandir”.

Fact Check- 

A Google reverse image search using the key frames of the video led us to a similar video was uploaded on Twitter by ANI on 14 January 2024. The caption states, “Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) of America organised an Epic Tesla Musical Light show in Maryland ahead of the Ram Mandir ‘Pran Pratishtha’ in Ayodhya on January 22”. 

In further search, we found a report also shared by ANI. According to the news published on January 14, more than 150 cars were parked in ‘Ram’ formation. This was a light show organized in Maryland, America. And it was organized by Vishva Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA).

Further we found an extended video of this event on the YouTube channel of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America. The video was uploaded on 19 January 2024 and the description of the video states that the event was organised in a temple in Maryland, USA. An excerpt reads, “Here is the official Jai Shri Ram Tesla Light Show organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America. Over 100 Tesla Ram devotees gathered at Sri Bhakta Anjaneya Temple in Frederick, MD, USA to celebrate the inauguration of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple.

Additionally, we got a report by NDTV in which the organizer of the Tesla event, VHP America DC chapter president Mahendra Sapa, said, “We had the Tesla Ram Bhagwan musical event on the occasion of the inauguration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. We are grateful to the generations of Hindus over the last 500 years to have struggled for the Ram temple in Ayodhya.”

This viral post about the owner of Tesla showroom in the USA organised a light show ahead of Ram temple’s consecration is misleading.
