The consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya took place today with Prime Minister Narendra Modi performing the rituals. Many Bollywood stars participated in this ceremony and meanwhile, a video of actor Akshay Kumar is going viral on social media, in which he can be seen sitting in the temple.
The users who shared the video claimed that the video was from the Ayodhya Ram temple. Caption of the video states, “Bollywood star Akshay Kumar came to Ayodhya Ram temple”.

Fact Check-

A reverse image search on Google with the key frames of the video led us to an Instagram account of ‘Mid Day Gujarati’. The same video was uploaded there with the caption, “Seeking divine blessings at Neasden Temple with @akshaykumar on this auspicious Diwali”. The video was shared on 15 November, 2023 from the Neasden temple, when Akshay Kumar visited the temple on the occasion of Diwali. BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir is a Hindu temple in Neasden, London, England.

In further search we found the verified Twitter handle of ‘Neasden Temple’ also shared the same video on 13 November, 2023 with the caption, “With great pleasure we once again welcome @akshaykumar to #NeasdenTemple, who has arrived this morning to offer prayers on the auspicious occasion of Diwali.”

Meanwhile, we checked whether Akshay Kumar had gone to the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. According to the news published on ABP Live on 22 January, 2024, “Akshay Kumar will not be able to attend the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony. Akshay is shooting for the film ‘Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan’ with Tiger Shroff in Jordan, due to which he will not be able to reach Ayodhya.  And the actor has shared a video with Tiger Shroff on 22 January, 2024.  both the artists have congratulated all the countrymen for the consecration of Ram Lalla.

Taking account of these evidences we can clearly say that Akshay Kumar visiting Neasden Temple in London on the occasion of Diwali  in November 2023 being shared linking it to Ayodhya temple.
