This video of PM Modi singing Ram bhajan is not from Thriprayar temple in Kerala

This video of PM Modi singing Ram bhajan is from the Veerabhadra temple at Lepakshi in Andhra Pradesh, which he visited before travelling to Kerala. It is not related to the Sree Ramaswami Temple at Thriprayar, Kerala.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Kerala recently to attend the wedding of Malayalam film star and former Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi’s daughter and to visit the temple. After visiting temples in Guruvayur and Thriprayar, the Prime Minister arrived in Kochi and inaugurated the International Ship Repair Facility and Dry Dock at Cochin Shipyard. He then addressed a gathering of BJP’s booth-level organizational empowerment committee. 

Meanwhile, a video of his visit to Thriprayar Sri Ramaswami Temple began to circulate, showing the Prime Minister chanting the Ram Bhajan while the Sri Ram Bhajan plays in the background. The caption indicates that this video is from the Thriprayar Sri Rama Temple in Kerala.

PM Modi first visited the Veerabhadra temple at Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh during his two-day visit to South India. Lepakshi is famous as the place where the mythical vulture Jatayu fell after being grievously wounded by demon king Ravana who had abducted Sita. The place finds its mention in Ramayana. 

The Prime Minister visited the temple as it is associated with the Ayodhya Prana Pratishtha and is related to the Ramayana. After his Darshan here, he visited Guruvayur and then Ramaswami Temple, Thriprayar in Kerala.

The visuals seen in the video are taken from Lepakshi Veerabhadra Temple. The media has given news reports including footage of him reciting and listening to Sri Rama bhajan with devotion.

The same video has been uploaded on Prime Minister’s YouTube channel also.

The scenes of the Prime Minister chanting Ram bhajan is not from Thriprayar Sri Ramaswami temple. These are the scenes captured when he visited the Veerabhadra temple in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh before reaching Kerala.
