Underwater training video from US viral as Indian Navy

The video shared in the post shows an underwater training by a US-based group called Deep End Fitness and it has no relation to Indian Navy.

A video of a few young men training underwater is being shared on social media with the claim that it shows a training session done by Indian Navy soldiers. In the video, we can see the hands and legs of the persons tied up and they are trying to pick things with the help of their mouth. This video is shared with the caption “Indian Navy Training”.

Fact Check-

We started a reverse image search on Google whose results led us to an Instagram post featuring the same video. The video was shared by an account named “Deep End Fitness” on 29 May, 2023. They shared the video with the caption “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words but to live by them.” -JFK Happy Memorial Day Weekend. Live up to their sacrifice.

We found several similar videos on their Instagram page 

For further clarification we checked the website of Deep End Fitness. It is based in California, US, and its work is centred on the practice of movement, breath work, and the strengthening of one’s mind to optimize human performance in and out of the water. It mentions, “Our program incorporates techniques and methodology developed in elite human performance training, research-backed science, and most importantly real-life experience training thousands of people over the past 10 years”. 

Additionally, we searched for videos and images related to the Indian Navy on social media, but we could not find any video like the one going viral.
Thus, the viral video does not show the training of soldiers in the Indian Navy. It was shared by a fitness organization named Deep End Fitness in the US. It is not related to the Indian Navy.

Conclusion

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the viral video to be False. The video does not show the Indian Navy but it originally shows an underwater training by a US-based group called Deep End Fitness.
