Pakistan flag waved at Congress rally during election campaign in Rajasthan-viral claim is false

The video shows a Congress rally following the party’s victory in the Rajasthan assembly elections in 2018.The supporters were not waving the Pakistan flag, which was debunked by Rajasthan police at that time.

Today, on 25th November, voting is taking place for 199 out of 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan. The incumbent Congress aims for a consecutive term in power, while the BJP strives to unseat the Ashok Gehlot-led government. Against this backdrop, a video of a rally took place in Rajasthan has gone viral on social media with the claim that the Pakistani flag was waved at the party’s rally during election campaign.

The caption of the post states that, “Pakistan flag was waved in the Congress rally. Look at Congress campaigning with Pakistani flags in Rajasthan. Is voting for Congress not destroying your future?”

Fact Check-

After carefully observing different frames of the viral video, we found that the flag seen in it is not the national flag of Pakistan. Pakistan flag has a white stripe and a crescent moon & star. The flag in the viral video has 2 white stripes and no crescent moon and a dome-like structure in the middle, none of which exists on Pakistan’s flag.
