Fact Check-

A relevant keyword search on YouTube led us to a longer version of the video uploaded on Rahul Gandhi’s official YouTube channel on 29 October 2023. This video is from an event in Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh.

At the beginning of the video, we could see Rahul Gandhi entering the stage and many ministers and party leaders including CM Bhupesh Baghel were present there. Rahul Gandhi started his speech from 26.30 minutes onwards. Rahul Gandhi brought the issue of waiving of Adani’s loan by the BJP government but neglected the farmer’s loan.

34 minutes onwards of the same video, Rahul Gandhi can be heard saying, “Baghel ji said that the Modi government had waived 14 lakhs crore rupees loan of people like Adani. Now you tell me, there are many states in the country with BJP government. In which of these states BJP had waived loan of the farmers. You will not find even a single state. Forget the central government. Thay have a direct relationship with Adani and they keep on reciting Adani Adani Adani. They gave Mines, Airports, Ports to Adani, even formed Farmer’s law for him. Modi ji keeps saying that I want to see you all progressing so I brought the Farmer’s bill. He thinks farmers don’t understand anything. You have brought the farmer’s bill to snatch their money. You brought the bill to give money to Adani. You keep helping Adani 24 hours and here your CM (CMs of BJP ruled states) also works for Adani. We work for the development of farmers, laborers, small businessmen and youths. That is the difference.

From the above video, it is clear that Rahul Gandhi was speaking about the BJP government and their favor towards Adani in his speech. The viral video was clipped from the original video to show that Rahul Gandhi was accusing Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel of working with Adani.

Below you can see the comparison between viral video and real video.

Conclusion:

Fact Crescendo found that the video was shared without proper context. This is a clipped video. In the original video, Rahul Gandhi was accusing CMs of BJP ruled states to work for Adani. He was not speaking about Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel.
