Is this a video of an Israeli woman who was fed the meat of her child by Hamas? Know the truth.

Currently, a video of a woman crying and speaking about a painful experience during an interview is going viral on social media. Social media users are claiming that the lady is a Israeli woman who was captured and was fed the meat of her children by Hamas. 

However, Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The lady is not an Israeli captive woman but a MP of Yazidi Iraq, Vian Dakhil. She was talking about the atrocities of ISIS towards Yazidi people. 

What’s the claim? 

Sharing the video, social media users are claiming that Hamas terrorists had abducted this Israeli woman and forcefully fed her the meat of her 1-year-old child and raped another 10-year-old girl in front of her parents till she died.

Fact Check- 

A relevant keyword search on Google led us to the same video posted on The Middle East Media Research Institute’s (MERMI) Facebook page in 2017. According to the information, the woman being interviewed was Yazidi Iraqi Mp, Vian Dakhil. During the interview, she was mentioning the atrocities by ISIS against Yazidi people. Around 6,900 Yazidi women, young boys and girls were kidnapped by ISIS. Young boys of age between 4 and 10 were snatched from their parents and were trained to be terrorists. 

Further, she mentioned another incident where a Yazidi woman was kept in prison hungry for many days and was later fed the meat of her child. Another 10-year-old girl was raped to death in front of her parents and siblings. 

According to the Independent’s report in 2017, the lady in the video is Iraqi MP Vian Dakhil. She was talking about the ISIS situation and their atrocities against the Yazidi citizens whom they considered as devil worshippers.

Fact Crescendo found the claim to be false. The lady in the viral video is not an Israeli woman kidnapped by Hamas. She is a Iraqi MP Vian Dakhil who was talking about the atrocities of ISIS against Yazidi people. This is an old video of 2017.
