Fact Check-

We started our investigation by running a Google reverse image search, whose result led us to the similar image from the viral video posted by a Facebook page on 7 November 2012 mentioning that the image shows the burning of a police station in Bahrain.

Using this hint, we made further search and found the same video on YouTube uploaded by Revolution Bahrain on 30 December 2012 with the title, “Bahrain: A police station was besieged and burned – Sitra.”

The description states, “The Revolution Media Center in Bahrain obtained scenes of an attack by demonstrators on a police station on Sitra Island, south of the capital, Manama. It is reported that the attack occurred last Saturday (November 3, 2012). This attack came after Professor Hassan Mushaima’s health deteriorated in Al-Khalifiya prisons, as his cancer returned due to medical negligence in the prison.”

Next, we searched on Google for Sitra Police Station. You can see the image below.

For more clarification we compared the image of the Bahrain Police station to the building seen in the viral video. Both are clearly identical.

As per ALJAZEERA reports Opposition leader Hassan Mushaima, 70, was sentenced to life in prison in Bahrain in 2011 on charges of attempting to overthrow the government at the height of the Arab Spring. According to his son that Hassan Mushaima has been denied treatment and healthcare for his chronic illness. While in jail, the leader’s health had deteriorated time and again with cancer resurfacing. In further search we discovered a news report of this incident by a Bahrain based newspaper, Al Ayam published on 2 October 2018. The report described the nature of the attack of the Police station as “group attacked with Molotov cocktails and iron skewers.”

Conclusion-

Fact Crescendo found the claim made along with the video to be False. The video does not show people in Bahrain trying to burn the Israeli embassy in Manama. The video belongs to a police station that was set on fire in 2012 in Manama, Bahrain.
